Special Note re Department Commander's Visitation
Let's see if we can boost the attendance at this important event.
Dear fellow Legionnaires,
On Monday September 14th, Nassau County will be hosting a dinner in honor of the new American Legion Department of New York Commander, Thomas Schreck. The dinner is being held at the newly refurbished Massapequa Post 1066 from 5:30PM to 10:30PM. The cost is $65 per person and it includes a cocktail hour and dinner. The post is located at 66 Veterans Boulevard, Massapequa across behind the LIRR station.
Unfortunately, the response has not met our expectations. I am calling on you to show your support for the mission of The American Legion’s Department of New York Commander by attending this event. Commander Schreck is devoting time to visit our great County to speak with us. Your attendance at this event is greatly appreciated.
Please make your check payable to Nassau County American Legion and mail to County Treasurer Anthony Paternostro, 4011 Bernice Road, Seaford, NY 11783-1716. Include a note to say how many attendees and their post name. As a courtesy please contact County Treasurer Anthony Paternostro at (516) 361-4687 to let him know how many will be attending. Our headcount must be provided to the caterer during the 1st week of September.

2026-2027 County Directory Post Data Update
All Posts are required to update their contact information and staffing information for Department of New York and the Nassau Legion County Directory. Please use the following link to download the form to update your contact info:
1. Click the link to download.
2. When the file opens, click File > Create a copy > Download a copy.
3. Save the file to your computer.
4. Complete the form, Save, then email a copy to all three (3) recipients shown on the form.

Please submit this data as soon as possible so that our County Directory can be complete and up to date. Your completed form must be emailed to all three emails listed at the top of the form. The updated directory will be made available to Post Officers*, and will provide Nassau Legion with the correct information to be able to communicate with Posts.
* Please note that this directory is provided to Post Commanders, Adjutants and Membership Officers. All other personnel should contact these Post Officers for contact information included in the directory.
